Yesterday we had our first glimpse of a real baby thing... She got a pacifier.. They are given it to her when they start her milk the nurse said she likes it and got mad when it fell out of her mouth.. Don't know who she gets that attitude from... You might ask her Nana she could probably tell you.. LOL ;)
She is up to 22 cc's milk ever 3 hours, still holding 2 lbs 8 oz. They are continue to give her caffine to prepare her for the ventilator to be removed.. ***The little babies tend to forget to breath or get tired and just stop breathing because the brain/lungs are not completly developed. The caffine will help to stimulate the brain to help with that.

Bella Update

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

The doctor just called and said she is doing great and growing. They are starting to prepare her to have the ventilator taken off in the next one to two weeks. At this point she will be switched to either the c-pap machine or go straight to a nasal cannula depending on her growth & lung development when they decided to change her..

6 weeks & Growing

This was me on 2/19/09 3 days before I went into the hospital.. Clueless to the journey I was about to begin..


My Little Bella Girl is 6 weeks today. She weight 2lbs & 6 oz as of last night..




Six weeks ago she was swimming in the tiny diapers and this week she is now to big for them and has moved up to the next size. She is now swimming in them.



The nurse changed her Blood presure cup last night to the next size. This is a picture of the one taken off her..


It is so wonderful,amazing and a gift from God to watch her grow. Everyday I get to see what she would be doing if she was in me.

Big Girl

Bella hit 2 lbs & 5 weeks on Thursday..


She is now 2 lbs 1 oz... We are so excited and blessed..

Bella 1 month & counting

It seems like it was just a week ago that I had her. No way does it feel like it has been a month already. She is doing so great and growing..

On Thursday March 12,2009 at 23 weeks & 5 days into my pregnancy Bella was born at 3:56pm weight just under 1lb & 10 inches long..

Sunday April 12, 2009 (Easter Sunday) she is now one month old (28 weeks gestational) weights 1lb 14 oz just under 2lbs double her weight at birth and is 12 1/2 inches long. She is still on the respirator and oxygen. She has a feeding tub for everything she needs, she has had all IVs taken off her and is receive breast milk every three hours. She started on 3cc's of breast milk every three hours and is now up to 16cc's and going up almost every other day.

BIG DAY for mom and dad

Bellas is doing well and change everyday..It was a big day yesterday for mom and dad. We both had several first..


Big day for Daddy he changed his first Bella diaper. She is such a good girl she took it easy on him no yukky diaper.. :) And then she held his finger and grab on to it..



Big day for me too, I got to help weight her.. Which means I got to hold her up in both hands.. SO GREAT!!!! And I made her glass castle (as nana calls it) with her new blankets and lucky me I got to hold her a second time.. Do a happy dance..

Bella Baby Stuff

The NICU is letting me bring my own blankets for her so of course I could not wait to go SHOPPING for her.. I tired not to go overboard :0 But she does need to have the cutest crib.. She is still grown and doing well..

Bella - 3 weeks

She had an ultra sound done on Wed of her head and everything was negative. She doing great. She is up to 10cc of breast milk and it seems to increase everyday.

She has much attitude and hates to have her stats done. Loves to hold on to all the things attached to her and never stops moving her little toes.. I can't imagine who she gets her attidue from and her toe tap.. ;) I am sure her daddy knows..



Bella hit 3 weeks 4/2/09 and is 1 lb 9 oz. She is 12 inches long as of Sunday.



She had one cord that was put in her arm to monitor her for several different things but Miss Bella decided she would hold on to it and pull it out so they had to take it out and now she has to have several things attached to monitor her..
