Crazy Days

Bella is 25 months She is still slow at talking but continues to add words everyday. and has begun to put words together in sentences New Words this Month: No potty do it I Mine OK away Together: I do it I done She is still the easiest baby and now the easiest toddler..As I say how easy she is she is having her a meltdown cause her daddy just left. She does have a bit of of separation issues from us but I think there are worse things my sweet girls could cry over than us leaving her. We have no idea why we are so blessed but hope we never forget how blessed we are. So my best friend is pregnant and we are so excited she is having a little girl. She already has a little man named Wheeler he is Bella future hubs if we have anything to do with it. She has him wrapped around her finger he is an older man of 4 years. I only hope Bella Marie and Ruby Marie are as close as me and April and will be BF's for 30 years. So with that exciting event time to plan a Baby Shower and I love to plan a party. I have been out searching blogs and the Internet for ideas and hope to share some of the stuff I have found out on some really great blogs the last few weeks. Just a few ideas I found. Aren't they fun makes me want to have several showers for her. But time does not allow for that someone else has a big important party coming up too and I must focus on that not everyday the talking trash turns...... 60 that's right folks she will be 60 next month I know she does not look a day over 30 and that must make me a teenager too right. ;) I love the crayons this would be fun at a teacher's shower; my BF also loves to color so I thought of her when I saw it. Not to mention it looks cheap and easy to recreate.
This is so cute.. Love the baby onsies above.
Is this not the sweetest picture of the two of them.

I was pregnant with Bella.

Bella loves her Aunt April and Uncle Shawn (that's the BFH - Best Friend Husband)
Wheeler didn't want Bella to lay down by herself so he laid down even thought he was not tired, I tell you that is son-in-law material right there already putting my little girl's needs first.
I think she had him from the beginning. This was the first time they met.

March for Babies

Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help.
Please support my walk. Making a secure donation is easy: just click the 'donate now' button on the page. Thank you for helping me give all babies a healthy start!

I walk for my baby girl born at 23 weeks 4 days weight 15 oz. She just celebrated her second birthday on March 12 she is the exception to ever rule. Other babies born fight so hard for a life and have so many problems before they are even 24 hours old. We walk to support all familes who have had to sit by a bed watching as their little one fights to breath and others who have to make the ultimate sacrifce to not put their baby on a machine. Having a premature baby is one of scarest things a parent has to go through, we walk so one less child might have a chance. Please support the March of Dimes in the fight to save babies, sponsor me, walk or sponsor someone you know.

Thank you

Bella's 2nd Birthday - Sneak Peek Pictures

Foto Fabulous has done it again!
I really can't get enough of her work and I love how she captures my little family perfect just how I see us in my head every time.
If you are in our area and are looking for an amazing photographer she is it.
She is the sweetest person. She came on Saturday and did Bella's 2nd birthday Pictures for us even with a headache!
I can't say enough nice things about her and she is very professional. Both my kiddo's love to have there pictures take by her even my 15 year old.
Unfortunately he was not feeling up to pictures on Saturday so we let him skip out of the birthday pictures.
But Bella showed her love for big brother by wearing her little sister shirt.
We went for a casual day for Saturday, I know can you believe this me dressing Bella casual.
But I couldn't stand it and had to throw a TUTU on her right before Melissa showed up.

Bella's Birthday

We did it another year older....

So to give you all a quick update.

  • Bella is walking.. no correction running around like a little wild women into everything. She is 100% in her terrible 2's and days we love it and days I need a hot bath to relax but I wouldn't have it any other way.
  • She is now 20lbs and 28 1/2 inches tall. She can officially get out of her baby carrier. I can't wait it will be like a whole new world to her, still want to have her facing to the rear just because it is safer for them.
  • She talks but is moving along slow in that department so ECI has decide to increase her to ever week for therapy to see if they can push the words out of my stubborn hard headed little girl.
  • Her favorite thing right now is bed time, I kid you not people if we ask her if she is ready to go nite nite she grabs her babies (she has two) and goes to her bedroom door and waits for us. She has even come to us with her baby and said Nite Nite and gone to her room. So with that we have decided that while I am not ready for her a big girl bed. She is telling me otherwise. She will be getting a new toddler bed for her 2nd birthday from her Grandma. I am excited and nervous all in the same thought of it.
  • We have also started working with a fork, she is so determined to get the food on the fork only to loss it before it gets to her mouth most the time but with each day she is getting better and better.
  • She still spends a lot of time looking at book, she is getting better with crayons they now actually get used on the paper and not in her mouth.
Words she has said:

Good Girl

Doggie
Cat

Mommy

NANA - Working on this one she not sure who to say it too just yet. :)

Has a mouth full of teeth and sometimes will show them to you. Loves to brush them too,

Love to play outside so for her birthday she got a slide fort thing from mommy and Daddy for her birthday. She loves it and since today is her birthday it is in the living room so she can play on it and lets just say we had our first 2 year old tantrum when I tried to get her to stop playing to get dresses today. She has even been nice enough to share it with her babies.

So you saw the invited, she is having a super Hero party. Should be lots of fun; everyone keeps reminding me she is a girl like I am not aware of this fact. I couldn't possible make her anymore girlie. But I thought why not do something that all the little kids will enjoy and who doesn't like to wear a Super Hero Cape. I know I do.

Today it was family day with just mommy, daddy, brother and Bella. Along with a good friend the wonderful Melissa of Foto Fabulous came over and took some birthday pictures for us. I can't wait to see what she got. I know I will love them!

Will post pics once I get some.

Happy New Year...

Miracle Babies stand up...TELL YOUR STORY.. This was a discussion on a board I go to, I have tried to put in word over the last 2 years how I felt, what I believe was driving me and who I am after having had a micro-preemie. After I read many of the stories I felt lead to tell my story and I wanted to share it for Bella to have someday so she knows how much a miracles she is and how Great our God is. How he not only held her in that NICU for five months in his arms but he held me too.

I ask myself this question all the time. I ask God to give me answers as to why my baby and not someone else baby. I can't believe that I prayed anymore than another mother did for her child. Or gave anymore. I am not sure why I wish we had the answers. It is easy for me to tell how Great God is as I have my daughter but not so easy for someone who did not bring there little one home. Or who has a child with problems. I know I looked to Witt's loving parents and Grandmother Karen for inspiration during my time in the NICU. Witt was born with no hope just as Bella was and now 2 years later and even with all his problems they still give the glory to God. Even with all that they have been through they still continue to praise God for the gift Witt. It is people like that that are a true testimony to God, they believe that everything is God's will and all gift are from God just in how we look at it.

I know I prayed for Bella allot before she was born when Doctor after doctor came in and told me all the reason's not to put her on the vent all the things that would be wrong with her. All the times they said she was not a viable baby. And at 23 weeks 4 days when they could no longer keep my BP down and fluid began to fill on my lungs I had never been so scared. And I believe it was an angle on earth sent from God to calm me and remind me of how I had given this all to God just days before how that calmness and fear had been taken away by God.
Bella is a gift from God and she is a miracle. She spent 5 month in the NICU everyday I layed my hands on her and I asked God to give all my faith to her and to hold her in his arms until he was ready to send her home. I believed he could do all this, I believed he could heal her, I never once questioned or gave into fear of the worse or unknown, I never doubt I would bring my daughter home. I always told God I would accept his will as it was his great plan, I also said if his will was not mine believe I would be angry at him but I would accept it.
I held to bible verses that said

Matthew 8:26 "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you say to this mountain, Go, throw yourself in the sea and it will be done."

Mark 11:22 "Have faith in God" Jesus Answers.
Mark 11:23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this moutain, Go, throw yourself into the sea and does not dougt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him"

I was told I would never hold her a live that if I wanted to I should not put her on the machines. At 23 weeks 4 days I had Bella by C-section she weighted 15 oz and was 10 inches long. My daughter spent 5 months in the NICU, She has CLD and shows no signs of it now; was on all the vents possible. She came off of all IV's and medications a week after she was born, she had only a PDA surgery at 7 days old. She came home on O2 and stayed on till she was 11 months old. She had nothing else on the list of things that they said would go wrong. She has no eye problems, no hearing problems, no bleeding on the brain, no feeding issues, no major development delays. She gets therapy once a month and qualified only because of her birth weight and gestational age.

I don't know if you believe in Miracles or God but for me this was proof God does perform miracles. I don't have the reason why I just know because he gave me this gift he also gave me this cross to bear. Before Bella I had faith, I believed that Jesus died for my sin, I believed Jesus was the son of God, I had faith that God was watching over me. But I did not read bible verse and I was not at church ever Sunday. I actually didn't put a lot of credit and support in the bible as this was mans idea of what Jesus had said and a man telling me what this bible verse meant. Since having Bella I still don't go to church that has not changed for me, but I do spend more time trying to find bible verses for how I am feeling and what I am praying and when I need directions. I think God does everything for a purpose even if we don't' know what that purpose is. I hope someday when I am with our Father in Heaven I will know and see all that his purpose is and understand why things are what they are.
For now I just know I have this gift and everyday with her is a gift from God. I lived my life now as today is the only day I have and that is enough for me. This verse below is how I live my life now.

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness, let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his miracles~I Chronicles 16:8-9
