Party in Bella's Crib

We checked in at 7:30 with our favorite nurse Lauren got our orders and we are have survived the first 2 1/2 hours on our own room at the hospital. WE are actually right back where we started back on Febuary 23rd one room over from my home for three weeks.
Bella sleept till 8:45 then woke for her first bottle with us. And filled a poppy diaper for us. Lucky mom and dad. Well actually lucky mom I had to change it while dad ran to the McD's for dinner for us. Started back with her bottle and finished her full 65. WE had to take the diaper break between the 30 cc's but she got back on track after some hick-ups.

Yes we are still smilling check back through the night I am sure thatsmile will begining to fade as we post our room-in night for everyone or just us. :)

Bella Update

Just wanted to send out an update on Bella. She is doing really good. Docs are very pleased. She is up to 8lbs 7 oz. We will be room-in with her tonight to work on her bottles. She is currently taken 4 bottles and her goal is 8 a day.

The doctor has advised us that he does not want her in Daycare until after April (RSV Season). And to not be around children of daycare age as much as possible during the season. RSV begin in October.
We have several things we are thinking about but don’t want to make any quick decisions. I want to place this in God hands as he has brought us this far and will continue to see us through all. I want to let my faith in his great plan for Bella and our family lead us, I know all will be revealed in his own time and that we must believe. Please just included us in your prays, for us to have an open heart and mind to the answer he gives us and not try to make it our own plan.

It is through God’s Will Bella has come so far and been such a great miracle. Thank you all for your prays and support over these months.

BIG GIRL

Bella is taken 3 bottles a day & could be moving up to four sometime this week. She likes to wake up at around 3am and party till 9am. Then crash. She loves her modile as you can see in the pictures she can't take her eyes off it. She is only getting weight twice a week now as they are not to concern with her weight anymore. And rightly so as she hit 8lbs 2 oz as of last night. Preemie cloths are long gone these days. Bella has donated them to her follow preemie girls in the NICU and has been busy show off all her cute Newborn dresses to everyone who visits her. and she gets a lot of Baylor Staff visitors. She is going to be so lonely when she comes home and only has me and dad to look at all day. Still not sure what she thinks of bows but I can't not put them on her. RIGHT!

Bella took 1 ½ oz of formula last night from a bottle. Just 15cc’s short of her 2 oz that she takes every three hours. Then she went right to sleep so me being the nice mommy, I slipped a bow on her head. As you can see she didn’t seem to mind to much she never woke up. The nurse said she did great.
She is 7 lbs 4 oz.

Full Bottle

half Empty Bottle

I know the bow is almost bigger than her head. But she will forgive me someday.

Happy July 4th

Happy July 4th, hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We started our saturday with a trip to my brother-in-laws house for burgers. Yummy! Roby's younger brother came in from Austin with his family. Of course that is the Bella daddy on the end. I think he is camera shy.

Yesterday was Bella orginal due date. She is doing well, she will have a gas tomorrow so we will see how she is doing on the Co2 levels. No bradys. Just taken things nice and slow.

So to celebrate her first July 4th. No fireworks allowed in the NICU. So I made her a first of many a July 4th TUTU!

Grandma held Bella for the first time. Bella tired her best to be a good girl and not cry but Bella is who she is and had to let out a few crys for her. Grandma does not like for her to cry. So Bella had to make her way back into her crib in her bobby that she loves.

In and Out

Bella is doing good. Her Co2 level was good this morning. And she is just a happy little girl sitting up and looking around in her bed. I will post pictures this weekend. She hit 6 lbs 8 oz last night.

As always thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. God continues to bless us everyday with our little Bella Girl.

Please go visit Witt's Blog and continue to pray for his up coming surgery and the family as they wait.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy July 4th.

Bella -

Just talk to the nurses and they have started Bella on the nasal cannula. She is doing well on it as of now. Keep the prayers coming for good deep breaths and good Co2 levels. Bella does well with the taken in of the oxygen but not so well with the breath out. But she is happy to have all that off her head. and should be a much happier little girl.
