So Bella Girl

Had to share one of the gifts Bella got this week from one of my good friend (Vicci) who came to visit. I am so lucky I have some really talented friends if not for them I would probably not have some of the cute things I have that I get them to make for me.

Vicci made Bella a few weeks ago her very first tiny Tutu set. It is so cute this week she completed the Tutu & headband set with two new little onesie to go under it, one that has Bella's name on it. The other below says..........

Preemie donna
(pree-mie don-na, adj.)
1. Referring to the "center of attention", a baby ready for the spotlight before her assigned arrival date.

She also made Bella the blankets with her name on them. she is the luckiest little girl in the NICU.

They are the cutest little thing every, I can not wait for her release date so she can wear it home.
Bella is 4 lbs 9 oz, she met with OT today to work on the bottle still not doing so great at it but they will continue to work with her daily getting her ready to take a bottle when she is ready.
Keep the prayer coming they are working.

Jenn, I'm not just saying this to be nice, but Bella is really a beautiful baby. Of course you know that, but she is so pretty. I bet she'll get the hang of the bottle soon. We know she is a genius too.

Thank you, I heard she looks like her nana. :)

Only her nana isn't camera shy! Do they make baby bling?
Vicci did an amazing job on her clothes and blankets!
She really is a little "preemie" donna...I just have to teach her the royal wave and how to enjoy her meals.

Hi Jennifer,
One of the nicest ladies around (yes, Nana!) sent me. I want to tell you, we're all praying for you and Bella all the way over here in California every day. Please know, our THOUGHTS and PRAYERS are with you at all times!
Oh yes, we lit a candle tonight too for y'all (think that's how you say it there in Texas ;)
All good thoughts ~Tracie

Jenn, my daughter is 44-years old. Why do you care? Because she was born early, not as early as Bella but way too early for the technology back in '65! Now I almost have to stand on tiptoe to kiss her and she has a seventeen-year old son of her own. Just thought you'd want to know.

Been there, raised that!

Hey, Jenn:

Bella gets more beautiful each day! I know you are ready for her to come home and that time is coming soon! I don't know how lucky you feel, but I feel extremely lucky. That sounds strange since my Mother has incurable bone cancer, my husband had an emergency heart bypass several months ago, now my husband has been diagnosed with severe emphysema. Just one thing after another...but I feel lucky because the people I love are alive and are in my life. I have to be patient and let God work his miracles on his time schedule and just remind myself that I am very lucky. Is anyone reminding you that you are very lucky? Your beautiful baby has overcome so many obstacles and may have many more...but you are lucky because she continues to improve and because she is the joy of your life! Hang in there! Things will get better and better. And remember that you and I are lucky girls...we have the people we love in our lives!

Hi Jenn , The pictures of Bella are too sweet for words. Your friend that created the tutu set is So very talented. I can't wait to see Bella all dressed up in it to Go Home. How you must be awaiting that day. I have no words of wisdom for you - any wise thought I've ever had race through my brain was definately God inspired. That said please know that Bella ( and you ! ) are in my prayers. She is so loved by God , He knows her every need. I know He is holding her in the palm of His hand - He has been all this time , He won't quit now. Sue

She will get there.

My twins were born early but not as early as your Bella. My doctors and lactation people kept telling me to remember that they were still not even supposed to be born yet-cut them some slack, they will get it.
An amazing thing happened-within a couple weeks of their due date they would finally eat without having to be constantly awoken. They finally learned to suck. It felt like a miracle. Preemies tend to run a little behind for about 5 years but as of now they are fine.

You have a new born that is a little "preemie-dona". She is on her own time table. Bella will get it! It will just take her time.

You know what...my twins turn 8 next week! They feed themselves just fine now! Trust me-nobody is starving!

Hey Jenn~
Although I've never left a comment here, I have been following Bella from the beginning on Deb's site.

Your little bundle of joy is a miracle and has been in our thoughts and prayers since the day YOU laid eyes on her. We've watched her grow in her little glass castle and now she wrapped up in custom Bella gear with everyone's loving hands all over her! It's been truly a wonderful and MIRACULOUS ride.

We must never forget our blessings although sometimes it is tough to grasp the 'here and now'. Being the new parents you are, it's okay to be overwhelmed at times but you must never forget about the strength that God gave you to pull through this. He's now asking you to use your strength wisely so that you can bring little Bella home. The doctors have done a wonderful job in watching over her & giving her the best treatment possible. Although it may seem frustrating that you don't have the answers...they will come. Be patient.

I just wanted you (& Roby) to know that of course you three will continue to be in my prayers for all of the above reasons. And of course I always include your Mom & Dad...they worry about their little girl so much (both of you!).

When you feel overwhelmed in any way, close your eyes and take a deep breath, just remember how far ya'll have come to this day and be thankful...it'll work, I promise.

Morning Jenn I've never commented here, either, but have followed your beautiful daughter's progress since day one. Bella will be taking that bottle like a pro in no time...just like a small child falls many times while learning to walk, new skills take practice. With all the love & prayers this little girl has received in her new life, she can't help but thrive! *elaine*

Hey Jenn...Miss Bella is AMAZING as are you and Roby. Patience is your middle name. She has overcome so much. and she continues to grow and develop. The thing about babies is...they don't read the charts and listen to the doctors. She has her own schedule. She will be fine but I guess she wants to do things HER WAY. Thinking of you all and saying more prayers for answers and improvement! xo lulu

My preemie is 7 yrs old now. All that time in the NICU with her were the longest days of my life. But in the end she came home and flourished. She never did nurse but took the bottle just fine in her own time. Your baby too will do just fine.

I Wish your family all the luck in the world. That little precious package will be terrorizing your house in now time.

Jenn, I can only imagine your discouragement but hang in their my friend. God would not have allowed you to come this far and then stop the miracles from continuing. You and your family are in my prayers and I just wanted to encourage you today! Be strong in the Lord and power of HIS might. Blessings and love to you all, Theresa

Jenn, I am not a Mom and can't share any Mom stories. But, God is a Dad. Here is what he says, bragging on his son, Jesus:

In him was life: and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:4,5

Jesus is the light that will guide you and Roby through today and these difficult days of the dark unknown. He brings peace. I hope that you can feel it and the love being sent your way from blogland.

Hi Jenn,
I know that this has been a long journey for you, Jenn. Bella is such a beautiful blessing, and I know that before too long she will be running around and asking for a happy meal. Hold on to your trust in the Lord, and he will bring her home soon.

Hi Jenn, I'm a blogging friend of your moms and I just wanted to let you know that we've been praying for you and Bella everyday. She's a beautiful gift from the Lord and very special.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems with Bella bottle feeding, but I'll be more specific in my prayers for her. There are always these 'little' bumps in the road, but we serve a great God who is keeping your precious little baby in the palm of His hand. He is the great physician and it is my prayer that He will heal her up and grow her up and also give the docs wisdom.

Stay encouraged! She's in good hands.

Jenn--Ready for a little lesson in latin? Well, here it goes!

A Fortiori: (by definition) This phrase is used in logic to denote an argument to the effect that because one ascertained fact exists, therefore, another which is included in it or analogous to it and is less probable, unusual or surprising must also exist.

God's promise: "He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things." Romans 8:32

If God can do the MOST for us by sending His only Son to the cross, then He can do the LEAST for us!

It's one of my favorite promises! Hang in there, we know God hears our prayers!

Hi Jenn,

I'm still praying for you and little Bella. It seems with preemies that they all have their own little time table.

I will pray for Bella's bottle feedings, and that you can get all the answers you need from your doctors.

The wonderful thing is that God is in control!

Jenn,

I just read your moms blog today, and you and Roby have already had your doctor visit. As I pray for you guys and Bella, the scripture comes to my mind.
In Pslams 121, it says,"I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from? MY help, Jennifer, Roby and Bellas help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. That the LORD is our help in time of need........She is fearfully and wonderfully made. Hope your visit went better than you planned. Praying for you guys.

Hi Jenn...I read your Mom's blog and wanted to stop by and say "Hello" and tell you what a precious, beatiful baby you have! I will uplift Baby Bella and you in prayer! She is a blessing and she has made it through so many obstacles and will make it through this one. I love the saying from Pastor Joel Osteen that says "If God brings you to it...He will see you through it." And, I love Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 "To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven." Bella has a purpose and GOD has BIG plans for his little miracle! I LOVE her little TuTu outfit and adorable blankets! She is very well loved! God Bless!

OMG...aren't those the sweetest gifts! :) BEAUTIFUL...just like Bella, her mom and her grammy!

My prayers and thoughts are with you sweetie....I just know it won't be much longer and Bella will be home. The time will fly by so fast, that even though you will never forget this time---you will wonder--"My gosh, where did the time go?" As you watch this sweet angel, have her first day of school, first little girlfriend, first boyfriend, first Prom, graduation, marriage and then the birth of her own children! I know that our loving God has BIG plans for His little angel and she will fulfill all of not only your dreams---but His!
